for Clinicians

Privacy and security

Patient data is shared by the patient, on purpose, and only with you.

KetoNoir for Clinicians shows a patient's own logs and readings to the practice they choose. Here is exactly how that works.

Patients decide what you see

  • A patient connects only by entering their clinician's code and approving the connection in their own account.
  • Before approving, the patient sees each category of data that would be shared, and can leave optional categories out.
  • Patients can stop sharing at any time. When they do, their data no longer reaches your dashboard.

What clinicians never see

  • Conversations between the patient and the AI coach.
  • Photos the patient takes in the app.
  • Anything outside the KetoNoir account the patient chose to connect.

Signing in

  • Clinicians sign in with email and password through the same account system that protects the KetoNoir app. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never as readable text.
  • Signing out here signs out of this site only. It never ends a patient's session on their phone.
  • Clinician accounts are verified before any real patient data is connected, including a check of the NPI number against the national NPPES registry when one is provided.

How data is handled

  • All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and the database encrypts stored data at rest.
  • This site runs no advertising pixels, analytics trackers or tracking cookies.
  • KetoNoir does not sell user data and does not share it with data brokers.

Activation

  • Patient data reaches a dashboard only after the practice is activated. Activation includes verifying the clinician and a data agreement between the practice and KetoNoir LLC.
  • Until activation, you can explore the dashboard with sample patients and invite real patients, who can start logging in the app right away.
